Coach David was born and raised on the island of Jamaica. As the eldest of four siblings he has a lot of experience with young kids. Having played throughout his youth, in college, and for the United States Men’s National Team (USMNT) at the age of 18, he has now found a great love for coaching and it certainly shows!
He has been coaching for over 8 years and has taught children as young as 18 months old to kick, stop and enjoy playing with a soccer ball. He has also trained kids as old as 16 to play smart and balanced soccer. He loves sharing his experience with children of all ages.
His passion and love for coaching comes from his love of the game. “Coaching for me isn’t just is a hobby, it’s my passion; and my love for teaching is shown during my classes. The joy of watching an 18 month old baby kick a ball for the first time or watching a 3-6 year old learn a new soccer move is what makes me love coaching. As a coach, my greatest attribute is being patient. Knowing how to motivate a shy child is extremely important to me because I want all kids enrolled in my class to get the most out of their soccer experience. My personality and the energy that I bring to the class encourages the kids to learn and want to participate. I am also open to parent interactions to ensure a great experience.”
