Coach Slavko B

Coach Slavko hails from the European country of Slovenia.  He began playing soccer when he was just 3 years old! Soon after he began playing, he got his first pair of soccer cleats and says his mom told him that he was the happiest kid in town.

Coach Slavko grew up and played professional and semi-professional soccer in Slovenia!

Coach Slavko says, “Soccer is my passion and I love working with kids!  I have been teaching kids soccer for over 10 years. It is a great sport for young kids because it is a safe, full body workout.” Coach Slavko won the Slovenian championship with his U-16 team. His favorite team is AC Milan and his favorite player is Marco Van Basten. In 2014 Coach Slavko went to the World Cup Final at the Maracana stadium in Rio De Janeiro Brazil to see Germany v. Argentina to which he exclaims, “My dream came true! Since I was a little boy I always dreamed to see a World Cup final game!

He holds several diplomas and certificates:

  • SPARK Early Childhood Development Diploma: Developed for Head Start, public and private preschools, day care/early childcare providers and WIC agencies. SPARK EC is designed to provide high activity, academically integrated, enjoyable activities that enhance motor development and school readiness skills in children ages 3-5.
  • AYSO Intermediate Coaching Certificate
  • AYSO U12 Coaching Certificate
  • FIFA Licensed Coach- Soccer Coaching license. Lic# SD 06-001
  • NSCAA (National Soccer Coaches Association of America) Regional Diploma
